Weekly Reflection

So far this week has been pretty nice, but I can't belive that the exhibition is in 20 DAYS!!!!!! I am really nervous about the oral presentation because I hate talking in front of lots of people. We just finished our mathematical component, but we have to print it out in colour.

On Friday we are all going to my house to make a Incenaration Plant out of trash. We are going to make the chimney out of beer bottles so we can burn stuff and the chimney won't melt.

At 1:40 my whole group (including our mentor) is going to go to 2nd grade to teach them about litter because their Unit of Inquriy is Reuse,Recycle. We will also tell them about our action component which is called Bin it Friday. It will be every Friday at lunch recess and there will be a special bell that we will ring at 12:57 and people will pick up trash around them for three minutes to keep our school clean. We are starting with 2nd grade but we will make it broader once people think it is a good idea.

If you're concerned about your oral presentation, be sure to get lots of practice before the day.
I've got some questions for you to answer in this week's reflection.
1. How independent have you been during this Exhibition? Can you give some specific examples that proudly show times when you were an independent thinker, researcher and worker?
2. Review the self-management skills. Rank them in order from your strongest personal quality to your weakest personal quality. Which of these is the most important for successful work in a group? Why?
I look forward to reading next week's reflection.

woops sorry i already published my post but ill answer them here! first of all i think that i have not been fully independent in everything but i will say that i have been 45% independent. i have been independent when i had to find lots of info for my group and when i had to figure out what to do for written launguage component.1.Safty 2.Informed choices 3.Behavior 4.Organisation 5. time mangament. I think that the most important self manangement skill will be time management beacuse most of my group wastes there time on just messing around.

How could you improve your time management, Mia?
